Ayay, tomorrow will be a colorful day for us! My family and I are participating a 5k run. We've been waiting for this moment since October. Wish us luck! I hope our 6-year old will reach the finish line.

100th Day of School Project

Last week daughter had a school project called 100th Day of School. This is actually her second year. A 100th Day of School celebration is an opportunity for pupils to participate in interactive mathematics and art activities. Kids were asked to put 100 items on a poster board. 

It took me awhile to figure out what project should we do this year. Akesha and I looked around the house to get some ideas, and all in a sudden she suggested that we should make an aquarium. Honestly, I wasn't sure about the idea.

So we drove to Walmart to get some items that we needed for her 100th day of school project. I think we were there for a long time. Geez, it took us forever to find the right materials.

Instead of coloring a plain poster board, we used a rainbow poster board. I was surprised they have this kind of poster now. It's really cool!

We group the fish by ten using the goldfish colors crackers and gummy fish. Guess what we used for the sand? Cereal flakes! Isn't that neat?

Apdian's Farm

Welcome to Apdian's Farm! Take a quick peek of my parents farm in the Philippines.

Almost 50 acre of land  filled with coconuts, bananas, fruit trees, some falcata trees and corns..and farm animals too! Enough to feed the whole village...lol!

I was able to checked the farm again when I visited the Philippines last year. It has been awhile since I step foot in Apdian's farm (maybe before I got married). I barely remember.

Anyhow, my brother and I went along with my dad to the farm together with his sidekicks...lol!

I got to see some of our workers working die hard in the field. I call them group 1...lol! My family have two set of workers. Group 1 are field workers ( village) and Group 2 are laborers (city). 

After a few hours of wandering around the farm, it's refreshment time! Nothing beats fresh coconut water.

Now I miss the mountain breeze. I'm looking forward to go back there again soon!

Off-Road Mazda Pickup

I believe this is the only picture I have with our old off-road pick up before we sold it to someone else. This photo was taken when I was in 2nd year college (11 years ago to be exact). The pick up was very memorable to me because my dad bought it right after I turned 18. We sold the pickup after I graduated in college, and dad replaced it with 2 jeepneys...lol!

On the picture was me, my friend, my big brother (he used to be super chunky when he was single) and our deceased driver.

Christmas Lights Display

My family and I spent our Christmas holiday at my BIL's place in Grandbury. We stayed there for a week. My daughter had a blast because she got to spend time with her cousins.

One of the things we did during our out of town getaway was visiting the Christmas lights display at City Park and Playground.

 It's really amazing! I miss seeing vibrant lights like this. It made me miss the Philippines even more. 

These three are inseparable! It melts my heart looking at their pictures. I can tell how much they love their little cousin. We miss you Drew and Joe and Breeana too!
