On my daughter's last day of school, the nurse's office sent us a note regarding Akesha's vision results. Oh, boy! She's nearsighted. She has 20/60 vision. A 20/60 vision means that you can see at a distance of 20 feet. It also means that all the letter on the 20/60 line were read correctly, except for one.
So we took her to an ophthalmologist last weekend to have her eye checked. It's confirmed, she's nearsighted. Honestly, I never thought she had vision issues at this age at all.
She was a bit upset when we told her that she's gonna be wearing glasses in a week. She's not enthusiastic about the idea. Poor little girl! I'm sure she'll get used to it.
