What happens in Vegas stays in "Las Vegas Jailhouse"!

Contribution by German Flowers

If you ever wanted to see just what it was like to run a jail in a big city, "Las Vegas Jailhouse" is the series for you. I catch it on truTV, through my satellite TV provider and Illinois DIRECTTV Deals, each and every time it airs, and it never fails to shock, amaze, and entertain me.
Everyone knows the city of Las Vegas' reputation for sin and debauchery, but "Las Vegas Jailhouse" shows viewers a different side of Sin City. This isn't a series about hard-living high rollers and their glamorous girlfriends; this show is about real people, committing real crimes. There are drunks, drug dealers, deadbeats, and even murderers on display in each episode, and neither the perpetrators nor their crimes are glamorized or sugar-coated. "Las Vegas Jailhouse" shows you in vivid, often repellant detail the harsh realities of law enforcement in a city which trades on its reputation for near lawlessness.
If you've ever been to Vegas, you know that the glitzy, sexy facade depicted on shows like "Las Vegas" and "C.S.I." is just the surface. Beneath all the neon and showgirls and high-profile entertainment, you'll find the same crime and grime you would run across in any other major city. The difference is that so many people go to Vegas desperately seeking their big break, believing they can do whatever they want and get away with it, or both. As a result, keeping the peace there is a dangerous and often dreary job. If you've never been to the city, 'Las Vegas Jailhouse" will go a long way toward dispelling the popular misconceptions about it perpetuated by the mainstream media.

I agree when there is money, there is crime, the same as any place in the world.

The contents there are very shocking indeed. Behind all those glitz and glitters of Las Vegas lie the stories of broken dreams and lives. Thanks for the honest post. God bless you all always.
