The Dias Family Thanksgiving

How was your Thanksgiving holiday guys? Ours was great! We spent the holiday at my BIL's house in the bay area. Akesha had a blast playing with her cousins. Over all it was a great Thanksgiving dinner with plenty of food and yummy desserts. Our niece Clara cooked the turkey this year. It was a humongous bird that weighs about 25lbs.

I made those banana and strawberry jellos. Here are some photos taken during the holiday.

I don't have enough photos because I was busy helping in the kitchen. These photos were taken by hubby. Thanks hon!

Celebrating Christmas Day!

During Christmas day we drove to San Jose to celebrate the holiday with the DIAS Family (my brother-in-law's house). I made appetizers (devil eggs & ritz crackers), my devil egg was a hit! I was not able to take photos of the food because I was busy at that time. I only able to take a photo of the turkey and that was it! We had a white elephant game which was the highlight of the party. We sang the Christmas carols before we eat. It was fun! We actually had 34 white elephant presents, and hubby hosted it!

Thanksgiving Day Part 1

Our Thanksgiving day holiday went great. We had 30 plus people instead of 40+ guests. Hubby and I were glad that we pulled it through the party. I will tell you, it is not easy to be the host of the party. It needs a lot of preparation, decoration, cleaning, cooking, and organizing the stuff. We definitely would love to host it again. During the Thanksgiving day, I was in the kitchen all the time. I feel relief when my sister-in-law from the Bay Area came early to help me prepare the cooking. I don't even have time to take pictures with the food and the turkey. At least hubby took some of the photos. I would like to share some of the photos we had during the party.

Operation: Thanksgiving Day Prep!

In two more days it will be Thanksgiving day. Where are you guys going? I mean where are you going to celebrate the turkey dinner? This year will be my 4th year celebrating the Thanksgiving day here in America. Every time we celebrate the Thanksgiving we always go to hubby's family and I always bring dishes or Filipino dish for potluck. This year is quite different because we are going to host the Thanksgiving day in our house. Wheww! big deal? For me it is a big deal. I have been busy preparing and decorating for 2 days now, and I did not accomplish everything yet. Oh geez! We did set up the tables and chairs in the garage last night. I decided to transformed the garage as a dining area, because we can't accommodate 40+ people inside our house. Yep! 40 plus people is a lot. That's how big my hubby's family...believe me it will be loud and crowded. I am very anxious right now because I will be the one to cook the turkey for the very first time. I am nervous if I get mess up or something. Anyhow, just sharing you how busy my mind right now.
