David Publicly Apologizes to His Wife

After a shocking extortion plot against David Letterman last week, he apologized to his wife Regina Lasko during a taping of his talk show.

Letterman, 62, addressed the audience by saying that his wife was quite hurt by the events and that he's very sorry. That's a very nice thing for him to do. During his opening monologue, the talk show host also said that he has work cut out for him in terms of their relationship.

On our way to the dentist this morning we heard something on the radio about David Letterman sex scandal. Hubby and I said, whaaaaaaaaaattttttt?! According to People Magazine, David Letterman made a shocking confession on his CBS Late Show last night , admitting he was the victim of a $2 million extortion attempt – and that he had had sexual relations with female members of his staff.

Three weeks ago, according to a press release from reps of the TV host, Letterman found a package in the backseat of his car left by somebody claiming to have information about sexual activity between the 62-year-old star and employees of his program.

The woman on the picture is former David Lettermen assistant Stephanie Birkitt has emerged as the woman at the center of the shocking plot to extort $2 million from the Late Show host.
