Common Signs That You Need a New Church

Whether you just moved to a city, or the leadership at your church recently changed, you may find yourself wondering if you need to switch to a new church. Even if you attended the same church for years, there may come a time when you no longer feel comfortable there. This often occurs through no fault of your own. New parishioners, a new minister or even new people working behind the scenes can change the way you feel. Look over some of the more common signs that it's time to change churches.

You No Longer Feel Welcome
The most common reason why some leave their churches is because they no longer feel welcome. When a new minister or pastor takes over that church, he or she may bring in some new programs, phase out old programs and introduce other changes that alienate some parishioners. You may find that the pastor cannot remember your name or does not ask you to participate in events and activities. If you no longer feel welcome or comfortable at your church, it may be time to look for a new one.

Donation Requests Rise
Churches often rely on donations from parishioners and members to pay for church repairs, special activities and operating costs. Though some feel comfortable making a small donation every Sunday, others feel more comfortable making just one donation a week. Some churches go a little overboard. Those organizations pressure parishioners to donate every week and to donate more money each week as well as send out letters and emails asking for more cash. When your minister spends more time talking about money than preaching, you can feel confident looking for a new church.

It Lacks Activities
Before joining a church led by apostle David E Taylor or another, make sure that it offers the activities that you like. Church's should offer activities and events like Bible study, youth study groups and even church socials. Some even offer fun activities like white water rafting, events for single parents and meet and greets for single parishioners. If your church no longer offers the type of activities that you like to participate in, feel free to look elsewhere. As your faith is important to you, you need a church that welcomes you. If your church lacks activities, frequently asks for donations or makes you feel alienated, you can search for a new church.
