Rodeo is a BIG thing in Texas! It's like a month celebration for cowgirls and cowboys. This kind of event is really hard to miss especially when you live in Texas.

 We went to the Stockshow and Rodeo last weekend together with our family friends, Alvin and Kavitha. Akesha had a blast with some of the rides at the fair ground. We saw some animals too and checked some southern decors displayed at the marketplace area.

 We also watched a concert. We were supposed to watch the REO Speedwagon, but all tickers were sold out. Instead, we saw Darius Rucker.

We always have fun every time we go to the rodeo. I will post some rodeo actions later...:)

 Daughter was busy with her Valentine Exchange project this morning. She was really excited about putting those knick knacks in each bag. It took her a long time to finish because she has to make 19 cards and 19 goody bags. Actually, it's 20 coz she included her name on the list...lol! I also bought 2 bears for her teachers.

Anyhow, these are some of my dad's collections. It's decorated with our names on it. MARDEMARK stands for Marlou Demcy Markjun. That's my family's business trademark ever since I was 7 years old. It's pretty unique!

The TRIPLE M was discovered not too long ago...lol! It's a combination of my dad's (Maximo) and brothers names. And Sr. San Jose is our patron saint. I should have charged them for putting my name on every vehicles...coz I don't like it!...lol

The Graffiti Run: The Colorful 5K

As some of you may know that my brother-in-law and my younger brother are both marathon runners. Greg and I are so proud of what they have accomplished from the previous years. I got inspired and signed up my family for a 5k run last October. The registration fee was $45.00/person, and that includes a shirt, a bib, a color packet, and a headband.

Knowing that we have a 6-year old in tow, hubby was a bit skeptical about it and thought we won't be able to finish the race. But Akesha proved him wrong!

Here's us before the graffiti explosion. So fresh and clean, but not for awhile!

We jogged, walked, and ran....lol! Greg was way ahead of us, but he waited for us when we're almost to the finish line. We were so proud of Akesha for finishing the 5k run with us....42 minutes is not bad after all!

It was our first time to join a fun run, and we had a blast! It's one of the memories we won't forget. We'll definitely do it again.
