Toastmasters

My husband was an insurance agent, and one organization that helped him to be successful was Toastmasters. His district manager required him to become a Toastmaster to give him more confidence. He ended up becoming the president of his club and even competing in competitions. This is a great organization to help people get the confidence they need to be successful in life. If you are nervous speaking in front of a crowd or if you have trouble interviewing for a job, Toastmasters can help. You could even put certain accomplishments on your resume like obtaining the CTM award. Toastmasters is also a great way to network among your industry or branch out into other industries. You should visit their website to find a club or to just get more information. This website can also help you to find a speaker to come to your organization. My husband was called to speak at a hospital after he won the humorous speech award. Toastmasters has many speaking coaches to help you along your way to becoming a better speaker. They also have many seminars you can attend as well. Public speaking is considered many people's greatest fear. I guess that is because people don't want to be embarrassed when speaking. If you have this issue, you should really consider joining a local Toastmasters club. You will learn about giving table topics and how to prepare a speech which can help you confidence in any line of work. So if you are looking to improve your confidence, improve your ability to get a job in this tough economy, and improve your ability to present material in front of an audience, you should checkout Toastmasters to see how they can help you. You don't want to keep putting it off because otherwise they won't be able to help you.
