Making A Good Impression In A New Fantasy Football League

Contribution by German Flowers
Loners play fantasy football too, you know. If you happen to be a loner that enjoys competition, you're going to have a little trouble finding a bunch of friends to let you play in their league. To be blunt, if you're a loner, you don't have friends. However, that shouldn't stop you from playing. One option is to look for ads online for leagues looking for fantasy football players. This is always an option, but just make sure the whole money situation is being handled correctly. Signing up with a bunch of strangers on craigslist could be an easy way to kiss your money goodbye. A better idea is to search for site-run leagues, like Yahoo, CBS Sportsline, or ESPN. Once you get in a league, try to be active with your transactions, but don't be a talker. The new guy should never be a talker - in anything.
If you happen to have a good season, do it with dignity. Don't rub it in your opponents' faces. If you have a bad season, don't complain that the rules weren't fair or anything like that. This is one sure way to guarantee you won't be asked back next year. In order to get off to a good start, say hello to everyone when the league has their draft on internet from hughesnet availability. Be polite but not to the extent of being a pushover.
