Post Wedding Anniversary Getaway

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012! How's your New Year's celebration? I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful New Year.
Sharing some photos of us during our visit (2nd day) to USS Lexington Museum. We drove 3 hours from San Antonio to Corpus Christi after Christmas to celebrate our anniversary. It was a long drive but it's worth the trip.
The USS Lexington ship is humongous. With 3,500 beds, this ship has more sleeping space than Caesar's Palace, the Mirage, and the Treasure Island. Plus the flight deck is equal to more than two acres of land. It's really huge. The ship has post office, chapel, clinic, operating room and more.
My family and I had a great time during our visit. Not to mention, hubby started getting some flashbacks of memories during his time in the Navy.
Hubby used to work at the Naval Aircraft for 10 years before he moved to the Air Force. He's on USS Nimitz and USS Carl Vinson.

Wow, that's another great family day you had there! Lovely mom and daughter. Sweet time for dad and Akesh.
My retired navy BIL (RIP) also had a chance to work in USS Nimitz. I heard it's another humungous US carrier just like USS Lexington. How amazing!

Widhing you a blessed 2012 Dhemz!

Green weddings aren't a trend anymore, they are going mainstream, with even the most expensive weddings incorporating green elements these days. Consider wedding rings that are antique instead of choosing new gold or diamond rings. Both diamond and gold mining is harmful to the environment.
