A Grandeur Sunset

Honestly, you don't need to have a DSLR to be a good photographer, and having one doesn't automatically make you take better photos. Also, you don't need the DSLR to take good pictures. However, the flexibility sure can help. Take for example this grandeur sunset I took yesterday from our room window.

Not bad for a canon point and shoot camera right? I was going to use my DSLR camera yesterday, but I found out it needs to be charged. So instead I used my handy dandy point and shoot camera. I am very pleased with the outcome.

    I am hoping to have a DSLR, I like the effect. But I am already thankful that I have a point and shoot canon which I can use everyday :)

    it's a gorgeous sunset. I have a point and shoot and dream of owning a dslr, but it isn't going to happen anytime soon so I'm happy with what I've got. you're right, they're handy and they'll do in a pinch! happy SWF!

    what a pretty scene. As what I've learned from my photographer husband. The best shot usually takes place before sunrise and before sunset if it involves like mountains, clouds, etc.

    I think along similar lines. If somebody is a great photographer they can take great photographs with any camera. If you give them a great camera they'll will take even better photographs. But the main thing is the eye, and you have that.

    Me, I am pretty happy with my Canon point and shoot. Maybe something better later. Maybe.

    I, too have a DSLR and a simple digital one. I prefer DSLR most of the time. But just like you, when the battery runs out without noticing it, it's always handy to have a simple digi-cam on the side.

    Good work tsang, ako sd wala naman ko nag gamit sa finepix nga cam bayot ky wala nku na charge nya dako sd bitbiton, ang daan pa intawn akong gamit, great shot tsang

    Great shot! I agree, a good camera is a nice thing to have, but it's the photographer's perspective that makes a great photo.

    When I took my photography class, the instructor told us that point and shoot cameras are just getting better and better. I love mine, and hardly ever use the "big" camera any more.

    YOu are right about point and shot cameras. I only got a DSLR b/c I wanted to buy lenses and do some wildlife photography.
