The Best Place to Shop Online
Who doesn't like to shop for a Christmas presents? I think everybody does. Most likely I shop online because it saves time to go to the store, and less driving. If you are tired of going to the store just open your computer and shop online.
The good thing is, there is a site in the internet that actually post ad scans of all the Black Friday advertisements. How cool is that! I think this is a perfect place for those shoppers who don't need to get up early in the morning. Not only that, you can save money on gas. Visit them now so you know what items you are getting.
This site you can purchase items online without the hassles of having to stand in line at the store. They also offers email alerts that let you know the latest advertisement posted from their site. If you click at their website now you can see some of the advertisement posted showing what deals they offer. Like KMart they have tons of sale items for you to look at. Enjoy shopping!
Next-in-line (Bookshelf)
After 3 months of purchasing this book from the "dollar store" I finally finished reading it. Yep! three stinking months...:) Well, I was busy from packing, to moving, and unpacking.
I bought this book worth $25.00 in the bookstore, but when I went to the dollar store I only paid for a buck. It's brand new, hard cover and thick. I love reading true to life story. And this is the only one that caught my attention when I went to the store.
The story was very emotional specially to the victims of the green river. I even watch the film that they made based from this book. The author of this book is now retired from being a cop. He is now a congressman of Washington state.
Nice book for a dollar.:)

My Husband Became a Blogger!
Reading other people's blog is entertaining. Every time I do my daily routes I always pay attention to their posts. I don't go there just to hop and leave, and that's it! For me I value their ideas and opinions. Because most of the blog I have read were personal blog just like mine.
I would like to thank those people who set time to glimpse my post and made comments. That was an honor for me.
Anyhow it's been more than a month now (6 weeks) since I started writing reviews and taking opportunities from the advertisers, and I see how challenging and fun it is. My husband sees my excitement every time I told him that I got an opportunity. He sometimes help me out when I have more than one opportunity. And that was nice of him.
It's funny because he is now interested to join the blogging world. Well, good for him. I know he has a lot of things to say. He's very opinionated when it comes to religion and politics. He once won the "Toastmaster" when he was in college.
I would like you to view his blogs. He has 2 blogs. One for his religion and politics (PERSUATION), and one for his profession(The Programmer's Weblog). Thanks a lot!

Lucky Day for Me!
Earlier today I was able to take one of the opportunity called "Favorite Great American Seafood Recipe". Since I was on the waiting list (always) I expected "Customer Love" to send me a notice or something, but today was different. While browsing on and on with the opportunities, I tend to click this opportunity "Favorite Great American Seafood Recipe" and it says "take opportunity". By my curiosity I click it and I reserved it. I said to myself "that's weird" because I usually receive an email before I can take the opportunity.
It took only 3 hours from the time I posted my entry and then they approved it. Of all the opportunities I took from Socialspark, so far this is the quickest one. Not only that, I was chosen to be the "best post to date". Wow! I was delighted when I saw my name on the bottom. Thanks a lot Louisiana Seafood I never expected that to happen. I admit that I have some grammatical issues, but who cares that is why I joined the blogging world to enhance my grammar, and to learn from other people.

Back to School!
Today is the first day of my online class. I chose taking the online class this semester because my husband might go to England. His unit (Air Force) is planning to go there for their annual tour. So in case he will go to England I don't need to worry of going to the class, because I take the online class. I actually enrolled 3 classes this semester but I dropped the two of them. We realized that if I take the 3 classes and he will go to the annual tour, who will watch our daughter when I'm at school? Usually I take the evening class while Greg is taking care of Akesha.
I'm taking Sociology right now. I'm glad that there is one online class that will satisfy my general ed that will get me into the nursing program, because if there is no available I will be devastated. The advantage of taking an online class is great! I will be able to keep an eye with my daughter, take the class any time of the day, and there is a tendency you can cheat while taking the exam. hahahaha!
We already have assignments to do this week. We will have our first exam on Friday. I have plenty of things to read right now. I hope I will still be able to balance the blogging and studying...:) My family come first. This is not my first time taking an online class, so I know the process.
I am hoping I can keep up with all of you guys. I will be visiting your page still. I also hope that I will not be left out on taking the opportunities of SS and PPP. :)
Favorite Great American Seafood Recipe
Once a week we have fish serve in the table. Usually we have salmon and shrimp. I love to cook them because it's easy and simple, and not only that salmon is good for cholesterol and hypertension. When I visit this site www.greatamericanseafoodcookoff.com I saw some interesting recipes that caught my attention. I would love to cook the Pan Roasted Glazed Rock fish with Peas and Carrots. This recipe is from Chef Tafari Campbell of Maryland. It is one of the top five recipes of the cook off challenge. The presentation looks elegant, very inviting, and it looks delicious. Maybe I will try to alter the rock fish to salmon. I downloaded the recipe already and I can't wait to make my own.

A Present from MOM!
My benign mom often send us a package from the Philippines. Instead of us sending them something, but then the situation is opposite. :) We only send package to them every December and that is it period. We don't have money flying around or shall I say “money don't grow on trees”, we are on our tight budget.
My mom wanted to send us all the time (anything). Though the problem is the amount of shipping from the Philippines is humongous. Sometimes when she send us a package, the amount inside the package is less than the amount she paid on the shipping. How demented is that?!
Since my aunt (family friend)and her family from Texas went to PI for a vacation. I told my mom that she is coming (July-August). When my aunt was there my mom bought some stuff for us, so she give it to my aunt, and my aunt will then send the package to us (for free).
I actually received the package during my birthday. We have this big box filled with clothes. How ironic! Our clothes came from the Philippines. Thanks a lot MAMA! You are the best mother in the whole wide world. She's been longing to send me the DXN vitamins but the problem is the postal services in the PI is so strict. My aunt didn't bring those vitamins, she was concerned because they (airport) might take those out from the baggage. I don't know. I can't afford to buy the DXN online because it's too expensive.
Anyhow, I appreciate my mom for sending us the package. I loved the clothes that she sent. I love her always!

Guess what I FOUND?!
Even if I still have a flu, I can't rest my mind thinking about putting some of the stuff away. I'm not able to finish organizing some of our clothes in the closet. Yesterday, I should be resting because I'm sick, but because of my stubbornness I did it anyway.
I was in our room folding our clothes and put them in the closet. I grabbed a chair then I tried wiping the top of the closet, and all in a sudden I saw something. I thought it was some kind of paper but it was half folded and colored green. Guess what I found? I found 5 of 100's! I was amazed, and shocked! I kept counting the money over and over again. I can't believed I found a 500 bucks. I immediately called my husband from work, letting him know about it. He thought I was kidding because who could thought that somebody left their money. And we don't know the people who live here before us. So, we decided to keep the money. Maybe it was meant for us because we need the money to pay off some of our bills. I don't know! Maybe it was God's grace.

Quarter of a Century!
I felt so special. I have nothing to ask for (except another kid) :). I thought it was sweet and romantic. I can't believe he was able to hid all those stuff. No wonder why he doesn't want me to get in the kitchen (the night before).
We went to out for dinner yesterday. We had so much fun. We went to a Mexican Resto called Garcia's Mexican Grill and Restaurant. The food was delicious!
While we we're eating...my husband popped this question “so honey, now that you're 25 do you feel old?” ...hahahha! What a question! I answered “nay, not really! I feel the same way... like I used to be (young)” hahaha...:) Yep! I'm certainly a quarter of a century.
By the end of the day I'm still sick. Oh my goodness! I can't believed I was sick on my birthday. I think that was the first time in my whole life I got sick on my birthday. I'm thankful for every blessing that I have in my life. Thanks to you Lord Jesus Christ for all the abundance that I receive every single day.

I'm SICK!
I feel terrible for the past couple days because I have a flu. I wasn't able to post anything on my blog, and I missed to be in front of the computer. I tried to be in the computer but then I have my runny nose that gets me annoyed. I was in bed most of the time. I wasn't able to do anything. I'm glad that Akesha can entertain herself, and I don't need to worry much because she can play with her toys while I'm resting. Greg bought me some flu medicine. I got sick maybe because I was over fatigue from moving (packing/unpacking). And my birthday will be tomorrow. I don't want to get sick on my birthday. I'm hoping I will get better soon. :(

Daddy's Li'l Helper!
I wasn't able to post this yesterday because my camera died (low bat), and I didn't upload the photos right away. Yesterday I insisted to Greg to mower the backyard. The grass aren't that long, I just wanted him to trim it a little bit. He refused at first but then I convinced him after awhile(he has no choice) :)
It takes forever to finish mowing the lawn, I tried to help him out but I got exhausted easily. Akesha wanted to help her father mowing. Greg let her hold the handle and she was giggling. She had fun doing it. Afterwards she got cranky because she can't keep up with the speed of the mower. She was frustrated and wanted to help badly. Even our dog wants to join them too.
I was impressed with my husband because he finished it without complaining (he better not be! :) ) Now, I'm happy!
Payweek!
This week is my first month of writing reviews from the advertisers. That means this week I got paid from them. It's not a bundle of bucks that it won't fit in my purse (hahahahha!). I know....I know... some people thought (including my self) that making money from blog is a scam. I was very skeptical of doing this in the beginning.
So, I submitted my blog to SocialSpark, Payperpost, and Sponsoredreviews. After I got their approval, I then started writing some reviews from them (advertisers). Some of them takes like few days to avail the slot and wait for the opportunities.
I am a starter so I will always be the last priority (that's fine). I am working my way up. To all the people who visited my blog my family, friends, and fellow bloggers thank you so much for your time.
Being a stay-at-home mom I am able to make extra income while making a blog. Blogging is fun ! I consider it as my collection of memories, and my personal journal. Also, I am able to share and update my friends and family in the Philippines.
It's very interesting because I told my husband that I got paid on my paypal account, and now he is planning to make his own blog.
Anybody who wanted to make money from their blog, don't hesitate to try.

TFC is in the HOUSE!
Hep! Hep!..hep! Hep!...Hurray! Thank God!
I feel great tonight because now I can start watching some of the Filipino shows or soap opera on television. I've been longing to subscribe the TFC ever since I got here. The thing is we used dish network before, and they don't offer the TFC. They have other Filipino channel though.
After 3 years of waiting...finally! It's now right in front of me. My husband was teasing me awhile ago while watching the soap opera (funny!). When he heard the Wowwowee, he told me "oh honey, I thought I was in the PI!"....I told him "nay quit teasing me mister!" :)
If we did not move and change to comcast cable network, I won't be able to watch the TFC channel. Thanks to my loving husband. It's out from our budget range but it's worth it. I will be able to see the latest news in the Philippines which is pretty awesome. Now, I don't feel left behind from others! :)
I want to have the TFC for my daughter. We want her to know some of the Filipino culture and learn the language and its values. It is important for her to know how life living there, and we hope that she will appreciate the things that she have when she grow up.

Inspection Day!
What a Tuesday morning! We woke up super early this morning. My husband drove us here in the condo. Because today is our home inspection day. I waited for about 3 hours for the inspector to come. The inspection went well not very well, because we failed 3 minor issues. It's not a big of a deal for the most part. We can repair these issues in one day. We don't need to hire any handyman or something, we can do this in our own.
Well, I already fixed one of the issues. My husband will replace the gasket underneath the fridge when he comes home, and tighten the bulb that is hanging in the garage. If everything is done we are all set for the next re-inspection. Hope we will pass!
Now I have nothing to do here in the condo. It's so funny because there is no chair or table. I'm just laying down here in the floor and my legs are falling asleep. :)

Our Dwelling Place
Last weekend we aren't able to do something special. My husband went to the base (Air Force) because it was his drill weekend. We aren't able to go to the church either. I woke up like super late on Saturday morning. I did unpacked some stuff, took some of the weeds in the front yard, and picked up some rotten fruits out in the backyard.
I enjoyed doing some outdoor stuff like gardening. Now that we have a huge backyard, and it has plenty of space to do some yard work. I like the fact that it has a lot of fruit trees. We don't need to buy them in the store, it's fresh from our backyard. We have green and red apples, pears, apricot, plums, lemon, oranges, grapefruit, wild black berries, lime, and grapes (taste bad). We're just lucky to have those fruits trees.
I have tons of plans in my mind. I wanted to do landscaping in the front and backyard but I have to unpack all our stuff first. My goodness all our stuff were stuck in the garage right now. So far, we love our new crib. We lived in cul de sac (court) so it is a quiet neighborhood. I will post some photos later after we get our internet connection done. Wait I have a photo from our backyard.
P.S We are here in the condo taking some of our plants. I am glad I can use the unsecured internet here.

The Finish Line!
Thank God it's Friday! Wow!!! Did anybody notice the figures (the date today)? What a number (08-08-08). One of my best of friends got married today. Well, actually it was yesterday (PI time).
You know what I did today? I finished shampooing and vacuuming the carpet . That was a relief! Gee that's a lot of work. I trimmed the grass in the backyard, and I cleanup some of the cabinets. Amazing! After all the hard work of doing the manual labor job, finally I can breath spontaneously. :)
I think the condo is good to go (for inspection). We have our appointment on Tuesday for the inspection. Also, we have another appointment on that day. The comcast cable guy will set up the internet connection (new place).
Our tenant is planning to move in on the first week of September. In case we have some minor issues to fix after the inspection, we still have enough time to do the work.
I can't believe that I did all the job! High five for me!!! My husband would love to help me but unfortunately he needs to go to work.
We have been eating fast food for the few days. Of course who do you think has the time to cook? When I come home, I am so dead tired. Today, I want to eat Indian food! Sorry burgers and fries, sandwiches, and Chinese restaurant. For a change I want to eat chicken curry and garlic naan.

Moving Day!
Okay, here's what we did last Saturday. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law helped out on moving our stuff. Greg's brother owned a moving company which is very pleasant (doesn't cost us a dime). We woke up early that morning to gather all the boxes and bring them outside. Greg does actually all the moving, I can't carry those heavy boxes.
They arrived at noontime. We finished loading the truck for about 3 hours. We drove down to our new place about 15 minutes, and unload all the stuff from the truck. Oh my golly, we're all exhausted. My feet was numbed, my legs were shaking, and I had plenty of blisters on my toes. Thank God it's all gone now.
Moving is overwhelming and at the same time stressing. I am glad that we moved in before my school start. I have few more weeks to unpack some of our stuff. I love our new place. I like the quite and peaceful neighborhood. Also, we live close to the mall (how exciting!)..... :)
